- General Information
The protection of your personal data is important to us, recode.law e.V. (“recode.law”). Therefore, we would like to offer you comprehensive transparency regarding the processing of your data. Hence, only if the processing is comprehensible to you as the data subject, you are sufficiently informed about the scope, purposes and benefits of the processing.

- General Information on Data Processing
During the application process using the input window of our website, we collect the following data from you: Your first and last name, place of residence, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, your employment (type and level of education or profession), your membership in other legal tech associations, your preferences regarding working at recode.law, your level of experience in legal tech and the CV you uploaded.
The purpose of collecting this data is to review your application for the purpose of admission to the recode.law association.
This personal data entered in the fields provided or uploaded in your CV is collected, stored and evaluated by us. Although the entry of the data is not required by law or contract, failure to provide it will make it impossible to carry out the application process. The legal basis for processing your data in this respect is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
Your data will be stored at recode.law for no longer than 1 (one) year after the application deadline on October 27, 2024 at midnight and will then be deleted.
We are happy to provide you with further information in individual cases in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR.
- Rights of Data Subjects
You have the following rights:
The right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification of your data pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure and to be forgotten pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing of your data pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR and the right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR.
Insofar as the processing of your personal data is based on consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, you can revoke this consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. However, the processing is lawful until your revocation – the revocation therefore only affects the processing after receipt of your revocation. You can declare your revocation informally by post or e-mail. Your personal data will then no longer be processed unless otherwise permitted by law. If this is not the case, your data must be deleted immediately after revocation in accordance with Art. 17 para. 2 GDPR.
Insofar as the processing of your personal data is based on a legitimate interest of the controller in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object. You can therefore (in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR) object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG. The competent data protection authority is

- Data Transfer to Third Parties and Data Transfer to a Third Country
We use the services of Typeform S.L. to carry out the application process. Typeform processes data on our behalf. For this reason, we have concluded a so-called order processing contract with Typeform in accordance with Art. 28 para. 3 GDPR. Typeform is based in Barcelona, so we do not transfer your data to a third country.
Furthermore, we do not pass on your data to third parties and do not transfer the data to a third country.
- Automated Decisions in Individual Cases Including Profiling
Automated decisions in individual cases – including profiling – do not take place.
